Roy Persinko is one of the neighbors
of Historic 62 who would not take 'no' for an answer when it came to saving the
decommissioned station for our future Community Center.
He is a member of the original MVCC
Ad Hoc Committee on preserving the station.
Over the years it has taken the
community to work the issue, he has been the stakeholder who voluntarily
maintained Historic 62's physical property: weeding and trimming vegetation as well
as painting out any graffiti immediately.
He also just happens to be a gifted
photographer who may be found at many Mar Vista events and generously shares
his pictures with the community.
Truly
a hero among us.
