The
Stop Senior Scams ℠ Acting Program mission is to educate older adults and the
community about Senior Fraud Awareness and Prevention through dramatization of
various scams against Seniors. SSSAP empowers their audiences to take a stance
against Senior Fraud. They have performed in most of the city council
districts, and many venues in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Ventura and Orange Counties.
The program
collaborates with various organizations including FTC and
Senior Medicare Patrol. The SSSAP was started in 2009
by Adrienne Omansky and includes senior actors ages 60-98. The
seniors collaborate on writing their own skits based on their own experiences
and that of their friends and accounts of other seniors.
The group has
received recognition from Th L.A City Council and California State
Assembly. You can contact the program at adrienneo@sbcglobab.net and
