Matt Van Diepen, Urban Farmer.
Matt has contributed much to the Mar Vista Community ever since he
graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. He is a volunteer with
Transition LA, having helped many community members build "Little Free
Libraries" to be installed in their front yards. He's an active member of Seed Library of Los
Angeles (SLOLA), which is based at the Learning Garden @ Venice HS. He is also
an active member of the Healing Gardens organization, which builds vegetable
garden planters to place on community sidewalks. Additionally, Matt has volunteered at Mar
Vista schools providing his expertise on community workdays.
