Kami Turrou Schreiber is an everyday
hero in the Mar Vista community. Ten years ago, Kami made it her mission
to lead the Richland school to greatness. She is now in charge of
grant-writing, maintenance, and teaching in the school garden which features
several heirloom fruit trees. The children use the garden daily, and Kami
is now overseeing the building of an outdoor learning classroom. Along
the way, Kami has inspired parents and teachers with her vision. Now, the
Richland French immersion program will benefit from the foundation that Kami
built. She also happens to be a phenomenal baker and was BOTH the 1st AND 2nd
place winner of the Mar Vista Farmers' Market annual pie baking contest for 3
years in a row and 2nd place winner the 4th year. Wow!!
