Jay Kenney is a first vice president
and relationship manger at Pacific Coast Bankers’ Bank. And yet, he has always set aside and made
time for his son and his community.
In September 2002 he became the Tiger
Cub Den Leader in Pack 67, Santa Monica, and then joined Troop 1, West Los
Angeles in 2007, serving as an Assistant Scoutmaster for the Troop then led by
life-long Scouter Harlan Hogue. Jay assumed the role of Scoutmaster in
2012 upon his son's attainment of the rank of Eagle on 4-12-2012. He has been a leader in Scouts for the last
12 years, and a Scout Leader for Troop 1 in West Los Angeles for the last 8 years.
In addition to his work with
Scouts, he also serves as the Facilities Chair at St. Andrews Lutheran Church
in West Los Angeles, where the Troop meets on Monday nights. He has made
a difference in the lives of so many of our community kids. He is truly a Hero.
