Chris Wade

Chris Wade accomplished so much in such a short time.  Chris was an amazing and talented man.  He had a great sense of humor and was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and a good friend to all that know him.  Chris was also an accomplished artist, musician, songwriter, pilot, skier, surfer and scuba diver.  He could design and build almost anything.  But the one that that Chris loved was teaching and working with children and young adults.
Chris taught industrial arts and mathematics at Monroe Middle School, in Inglewood, California, for 37 years.  He also tirelessly worked with his students in the afterschool program for MESA, and the JPL program where his students learned to design and build science projects for local and statewide competitions.
Chris continued working for the MESA program after his retirement, and his students did not let him down.  On the day of his memorial, they went on to win first place in the initial rounds for designing and building a prosthetic arm for which Chris had guided them throughout the process.

Chris will be forever loved and missed, not just by his family, but by the many children and young adults that he mentored for over 37 years.  He was a generous man who never took anyone or anything for granted.  If you asked him for something, he would not only give it to you, he would make it for you.
