SAVE THE DATE! Mar Vista Fall Community Festival October 22nd, 2016

SAVE THE DATE!  OCTOBER 22nd, 2016

Mar Vista Community Fall Festival & Silent Auction
is Celebrating Mar Vista!

Our schools are back in session, the sun is setting earlier , the MLB and NFL are overlapping for a few weeks, and Halloween decorations abound.  All of which tells us that it is time, once again, for the Mar Vista Community Fall Festival & Silent Auction.

Please join us on Saturday, October 22, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, as we once again come together at the Mar Vista Recreation Center to celebrate all that makes our Mar Vista community a wonderful place to live.

The Festival is brought to you by the Mar Vista Community Council and the Festival Planning Committee, with the invaluable assistance of our Festival Partners, Sponsors,  the Mar Vista Recreation Center, and of course your local L.A. City Councilmember, Mike Bonin.

The day will include live stage entertainment from our schools and  community performing groups:  Palms Middle School, Daniel Webster Middle School,  Mar Vista Elementary School, the Windward School, and Venice High School, will all be showcasing their talented musicians.  And On The Edge Dance Studio is again bringing its dance ensemble.

And at 1:00 PM, on the Festival Stage, you will meet our 2016 Festival Honoree, Sherland Chensam, along with Councilmember Mike Bonin, Congresswoman Karen Bass, and other local political dignitaries.

New this year at the Festival is the Westside Repair Cafe, and a host of booths devoted to our Mar Vista pets, including L.A. Animal Services, dog and cat adoption services, local pet stores, and of course the reptile booth.  There will be a wide variety of delectable eats at the Food Court; lots of fun kids activities, including giant slides, bouncers, games, and face painting;  sales booths for the best of our community’s arts and crafts; and a smorgasbord of community and business booths and demonstrations.  And please stop by the Silent Auction.

Thank you to The Argonaut for spreading the word! Read the article here.
